Veteran actor Mammootty received a warm welcome at the Kochi airport on Thursday (October 30, 2025) as he returned home after taking an eight-month hiatus from acting to undergo medical treatment.
Industries Minister P. Rajeeve and Anwar Sadath, MLA, were among those who received him at the airport. His fans cheered as he left accompanied by his wife Sulfath and close associates including producer Anto Joseph and S. George, the actor’s personal secretary.
The actor greeted his supporters and thanked everyone for their support before leaving for his residence in Elamkulam.
Mr. Mammootty was working on Mahesh Narayanan’s Patriot when he took a break due to health concerns. The film stars Mohanlal, Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil and Nayanthara in lead roles. After recovering his health, the actor joined the shooting of the film in Hyderabad and London.
The actor’s production company ‘Mammootty Kampany’ has announced his latest film Kalamkaval directed by Jithin K. Jose which is slated to release on November 27, 2025.
