
Employees from the primary health centers (PHC) in Andhra Pradesh decided to wear black badges when they work from Monday to support the requirements of PHC doctors who were on the strike.
The announcement was made during a round table, organized APOS APS PHC Doctors’ Association, the seventh day of her relay hunger in Vijayawada on Saturday.
The Association announced that if the state government could not deal with its concerns, the rescue staff, including nurses and pharmacists at PHCS, it would show lunch demonstrations. Also, doctors from urban primary health centers (UPHC) expanded support to strike.
Director of Secondary Health Hospital Association, United Medical and Health Employees Association, Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Association, 108–104-102 Employees Associations, Samagra Shiksha Contract and Outsourcing Employees Association Association, praja arrogya radika, AP Contract Employees Association, AP Health Supervisors Association, NHM JAC, AP Government Staff Nurses Association, And AP PM Seva, Among Others, Have Extended Support to PHC.
The Secretary General of the AP PHCDA KMR Kishhore, who urged the state government to honor his earlier assurances provided to doctors, said that the protest would continue until their fundamental rights were achieved.
The members of the association explained that their movement was apolitical and for fair requirements. They said they were not against the state government, but against several politicians. They appealed to the government to answer empathy and urgency and immediately solve their problems.
According to information from the Association, although there are 1,142 PHC in the state, only 10% of them are operated with trainees from medical faculties who were represented there instead of protesting doctors. Most PHC only runs with the rescue staff, without doctors, the members said.
