California Governor Gavin News has officially signed the Assembly Act to the law and added Diwali to the list of recognized holidays. The Indian American community praised this step and thanked the Governor.
The new law allows public schools and community universities to close Diwali compliance if they decide. According to even some employees, some employees at community universities and public schools also allow civil servants to take paid leave on holiday.
