Google launched the festive logo on June 12 ahead of the opening ceremony of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2026. The vibrant and colorful illustration depicts the cricket stumps, bails and ball to mark the first day of the pivotal tournament.

The caption along with this festive logo reads: “ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 is here. Inspired by the energy of T20, this festive logo depicts the cricket stumps, bails and other essential equipment that competing teams will use on their way to victory.” This holiday logo will be visible to users in select countries, including India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, New Zealand, Netherlands, Ireland, Jamaica, Guyana, US Virgin Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Antigua and Barbuda, and Dominica.

Everything you need to know about the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup opening match, venue and ceremony

The high stakes match is scheduled for June 12, which will take place in Birmingham, UK. In the most awaited match, the England team will face the Sri Lankan team. The opening ceremony will take place at Edgbaston Stadium. The opening program will feature a West End performance of Wicked to mark the 20th anniversary of the British musical.

England v Sri Lanka will be preceded by an opening performance by Emma Kingston and Zizi Strallen, who plays Elphaba and Glinda in the West End musical, will perform with the entire cast. Prior to the grand opening, the captains of all twelve participating nations took part in a ‘Captains’ Carnival’ held on London’s iconic Waterloo Bridge to commemorate the event.

The opening match is scheduled to start at 18:30 local time (17:30 GMT, 10:30 PT, 13:30 ET) which will be telecast in India at 11:00 PM.

Warwickshire, best known as the birthplace of William Shakespeare, hosts the event. Known as the literal and cultural ‘heart of England’, this ceremonial county in the West Midlands is home to Britain’s most iconic and imposing medieval fortresses.

In the tournament, 12 teams will compete for the trophy. They are divided into two groups of six teams and each team will play the other five teams in their group once. When the top two players from each group advance to the semifinals, the winner of Group 1 will play the runner-up from Group 2. Meanwhile, the winner of Group 2 will play the runner-up of Group 1.

While defending champions New Zealand are gearing up for an intense contest, the Indian women’s team is looking to script history once again with their first T20 World Cup title after winning the ODI World Cup. Team India was placed in Group 1 alongside Australia, Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh and the Netherlands.
