Medical Practice Simplified in Andhra Pradesh

The Department of Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare has issued a GO abolishing the need for an MBBS graduate to obtain a noC from the states where they studied before starting their practice in Andhra Pradesh.

According to GO Ms. No. 81 issued by Health Minister Saurabh Gaur on Thursday, any person who has a recognized medical qualification and holds a valid registration with any State Medical Board or Union Territory Medical Board in India will be allowed to practice in the state.

Such graduates need not obtain separate registration from the Andhra Pradesh Medical Council (APMC) exclusively for the purpose of practice in Andhra Pradesh or a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the State Medical Council or Union Territory Medical Council where they are registered.

GO was issued as part of II reforms. a phase of reducing compliance and deregulation and to facilitate practice for qualified physicians. The notice is effective immediately.
