    Coffee and donut company Dunkin’ is giving away 1 million free coffees across the United States (US) on Tuesday, May 19, triggering a rush of customers eager to take advantage of the limited-time offer through the brand’s mobile app. The campaign quickly gained traction online after social media users began sharing the company’s “Wanted”-style posters that read “WANTED: Bounty – 1,000,000 free coffees.”

    The promotion soon started rolling out across platforms, with deal sites and food bloggers confirming that the giveaway was genuine and available for one day only.

    How can customers claim free coffee?

    To access the offer, users must download the official Dunkin’ app and sign in to their Dunkin’ Rewards account. The company is expected to release a special promo code during the morning of May 19, although the exact time has not yet been announced.

    Customers will need to enter the code in the “Offers & Rewards” section of the app to activate their free drink reward.

    The first million users who successfully redeem the code will receive a free standard hot or iced coffee. Unlike several previous Dunkin’ promotions, customers do not need to purchase any additional items to qualify for the gift.

    As the offer is limited to one million redemptions, users are encouraged to keep a close eye on the Dunkin’ app and social media accounts for updates.

    Alternative promo codes are circulating online

    Codes like “goodwilldunkin” and “PRODUNCTIVITY” reportedly unlocked free coffee deals for select users during in-app checkout.

    The online response was significant, with many users calling the campaign one of Dunkin’s biggest digital giveaways to date.

    Dunkin’ is gearing up for a summer beverage launch

    The coffee giveaway arrives just ahead of the planned May 22 nationwide release of Dunkin’s new 48-ounce cold brew pails.

    The reusable containers are expected to have a lid, a handle and a large straw and are marketed as summer drinks designed for iced drinks.

    Rather than focusing on fall-inspired drinks like pumpkin spice products, the company appears to be shifting its focus to cold drinks and warm-weather menu items as part of its summer strategy.

    Many online users believe the free coffee campaign is also being used to build excitement for Dunkin’s upcoming seasonal offerings.
