A large number of farmers, including women, from the villages affected by the floods in Haryana, organized a demonstration on Monday in the districts of Hisar and Fatehabad, while the state government claimed the “insensitive and unfortunate manipulation” of the flood situation.
At the call, which was made by All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS), the Center of the Indian Trade Union and the whole India Agricultural Union, they demanded immediate steps to remove water from the areas, increased compensation for damaged crops and houses, financial assistance to workers, MGNGS work, rations for family broadcasts and other measures and other measures.
Demonstrators, led by national vice president Aiks Inderjit Singh and others, achieved protesters in Hisar on the mini secretariat, where the police closed the main entrance. Eventually they sat there and blocked the entrance.
Later, the Memorandum handed over the Commissioner representatives. Demonstrators argued that the DC reaction was “occasional” and “unsatisfactory” and warned Pucca Morch (permanent sit-in) unless the action was business within two weeks.
In Fatehabad, farmers of more than a dozen of villages, including Bhimwala, Baban, Gorakhpur, Bhuthan, Kumhariya and Baropal, gathered outside the mini Secretariat. They said the situation was very bad because the current crop was destroyed and the prospects of another crop also seemed bleak. The protesters stated that a large number of houses were damaged and deaths have also been damaged.
In the Memorandum, the protesters demanded an action against corrupt officials for installing poor pumps of pumps to release water from the farms. In addition to the search for pure drinking water and medicinal products to prevent the spread of diseases, farmers also sought 50,000 GBP for compensation for damaged crops and stated that 15,000 GBP for acre announced too little.
They also demanded a special Girdawari (crop survey) in the presence of a gram of Panchayat and that a certified copy will be handed over to farmers on the spot after assessing the scope of crop damage.
