The slight tension prevailed in the Girupuram Center in Machavaram on Monday, when the family members of Satya Kumari organized a protest with her body and demanded an action against the transgenders who allegedly attacked it.
A few days ago, Satya Kumari and her family members were reportedly attacked by a group of transgender about a dispute concerning her son talking to a girl in the Giripuram area. Unable to bear the humiliation, Satya Kumari tried to end her life on September 11. The following day succumbed to her injuries.
After making a post mortem on Monday, the doctors handed over the body of family members of Satya Kumari who organized Dharna in the Giripuram Center with the body.
The victim’s family claims: “Members of the Girl’s family hired transgenders to attack and threaten.”
The police threw themselves into the place and made sure it would arrest the accused who attacked Satya Kumari. Machavara Circle Inspector Ch. Prakash said the case was registered and 12 accused were reserved, with two arrests.
