The state sets in motion the process of comprehensive care for employees
The state government has started the process of providing comprehensive health care to all its employees.
The government has therefore decided to collect data relating to its employees, pensioners and their dependents and family members for the purpose of issuing health cards that provide health care to employees. The government had earlier set up an exclusive Employees’ Health Trust (EHCT) to implement the new employee health scheme.
In a memorandum issued on Tuesday, Finance Department Special Secretary Sikta Patnaik said that data collection as defined in Section 7 of the Telangana Integrated Medical Attendance Rules is required for effective implementation of the system. Secretaries, Heads of Departments, Pension Sanctioning Authorities and Drawing and Disbursing Officers have been directed to immediately take necessary action to collect and upload data on employees, pensioners and their family members and dependents in the prescribed proforma in the IFMIS-HR module. May 31 was set as the last date for data collection and uploading.
After the circular ended, the “most important” official directed the administrative departments to closely monitor the process and ensure that the data was collected accurately and uploaded within the stipulated time.
