India summons US chargé d’affaires Jason Meeks over tanker attack off Oman coast as 3 missing, 21 rescued: Report | Today’s news

India on Wednesday summoned US chargé d’affaires Jason Meeks and expressed its strong objection to the attack on a commercial tanker carrying 24 Indian crew members off the coast of Oman, PTI reported citing sources. Three of the sailors on board the ship remain missing after the incident.

In response to the development, New Delhi stressed that attacks on commercial vessels and civilian infrastructure in West Asia must stop and called for the swift restoration of free and unimpeded navigation in international waterways.
