Government to launch ‘1 Million Toofan Goals @ World Cup 2026’ campaign in schools

With just two days left for the start of the FIFA World Cup, the General Education Department has decided to organize a football-related campaign for students. The “1 million Toofan Goals@World Cup 2026” campaign will be held in schools with classes I to XII from June 11 to July 20.

The campaign will be launched by Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala and General Education Minister N. Samsudheen at the Global Sports City lawn, Ambalamukku, here on Wednesday at 10.30 am. A dashboard prepared by Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE) for the campaign will also be inaugurated on the occasion.

The campaign, which involves scoring 10 million targets in schools, will be a mix of education, sports, technology, environment and will support the Home Ministry’s Operation Toofan to fight the drug menace, a press release said on Tuesday.
