Jannik Sinner could be a skier if he did not focus on tennis from the first days. Thanks to his alpine roots.
Although Sinner spends most of his year traveling around the world on tour, he ensures that he will be time to return to his hometown in Italy and be with his family whenever possible to charge. “Of course everyone is happier if I win,” said Jannik Athletic and POK
So it was something very, very nice in both respects. I believe in important moments to get home to see the people I love continues to add.
Where did Jannik Sinner grow up?
Jannik was brought up in Sesto. The picturesque city in the region of South Tyrol in northern Italy near the Austrian border. The city, also known as Sexten, lies at a height of 3,852 feet and is set at the foot of Italian Dolomites.
Sister is a resort and tourists flock to the city during the year. During the summer, the Dolomites attract a lot of outdoor adventurers who want to go for hiking or mountain bikes, and in winter they will return to skiing and snowboarding. In addition, tourists can also visit the nearby historical village and Christmas market in December
Sinful passion for skiing
Jannik picked up tennis at the age of seven, but like other children in Sesto, he has always been a passionate skier. In fact, he received a national title in Giant Slalom in 2008, and he was seven in the same year. At the age of 13 he decided to leave northern Italy to Riviera, where he joined the tennis academy to watch the sport more seriously.
“The reason I chose tennis was, you can make mistakes in tennis. You can lose points, but you can still win the match,” said Jannik Vogue in 2024. “When you make one mistake, one big mistake, you can’t win.”
All about his family
Jannik’s parents, Siglinde and Johann met at work at the ski resort. When Jannik decided to leave his home, his parents worked at that time in a local ski cottage, where his mother worked as a server and his father was a cook. He has long attributed his work ethics to his parents.
The family now runs their own guesthouse, Haus Sinner, and Johann oversees the restaurant and Siglinde manages several family apartments.
