Russian President Vladimir Putin told Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday that the relationship between the two countries was at the “unprecedented” level during the discussion in Beijing.
“Our narrow communication reflects the strategic nature of Russian-Chinese ties, which is currently on an unprecedented level,” Putin quoted AFP remarks for XI.
As a recognition of cooperation between the two countries during the war, Putin said: “We have always been together and now we are together.”
This week, XI was organized a number of diplomatic meetings, including participation in the Shanghai (SCO) summit in China Tianjin.
The military parade on Wednesday presents 80 years since the end of World War II and will participate in about two dozen world leaders.
Geopolitical tension
During the summit on Monday, Chinese and Russian leaders criticized the West. XI condemned what he called “bullying behavior” from certain countries, indirectly referred to the United States. Meanwhile, Putin defended Russian Ukraine Ukraine and accused the West of provoking a conflict.
“Relationships in China-Rusk have resisted international changes,” XI said.
He mentioned that Beijing wants to cooperate with Moscow in order to “support the construction of a fairer and sensible system of global administration”.
China about the war of Russia-Ukraine
China has never condemned Russia over the war of Ukraine, nor requested its withdrawal, and many allies in Kiev believe that Beijing supported Moscow.
He claims that this is a neutral party that constantly calls for the end of the war and at the same time accuses the Western nations to extend the conflict by supplying weapons to Ukraine.
XI and Putin will remain in regular contact and spoke on a phone call last month. During the call, the Chinese leader expressed his satisfaction with Moscow and Washington, who has made his progress in his relationships.
In May, he visited XI Moscow for Russian celebrations on May 9, reminiscent of the defeat of the Nazis in World War II.
During his visit to May XI, he said that China and Russia “continued to deepen political mutual trust and strategic cooperation … and have been accustomed to valuable stability and positive energy into the international situation full of interwoven unrest”.
