Main Minister Siddaramaiaha said on Sunday that Mahatma Gandhi wished to live for 125 years, but RSS-BJP was shot.
On Sunday, Mr. Siddaramaiaha participated in the film producer and the former 80’s birthday celebrations MLC Sandesh Nagaraj at the Dasar exhibition in Mysuro and remembered that Mahatma had received a letter from his admirer who wanted Gandhiji to live for 100 years. Mahatma, however, said he had found not enough for 100 years and asked to live for 125 years, said the main minister.
But BJP-RSS killed him, said Mr. Siddaramaiaha. “If not, I don’t know how many more years he would live,” he added.
He wished Mr. Sandesh Nagaraj for a long life for more than 100 years.
Mr. Siddaramaiah remembered his long connection with Mr. Sandes Nagaraj, who dated 1975 when they were BSC students. “I was BSC in the first year and he was BSC in the last year. Even though I didn’t know him at that time, he was a good player in Kabaddi and watched him playing,” Mr. Siddarahaiah recalled.
After completing his BSC, he also traced the rise of Mr. Sandesh Nagaraj from the owner of two buses to open the hotel and produce films before entering politics.
Although both were mostly at competing parties, Mr. Siddaramaiah said his friendship with Mr. Sandesh Nagaraj remained unaffected. “He is a friendly man and gives great importance to friendship,” Siddaramaiah said the recognition of the financial assistance he received from Mr. Nagaraj during his elections.
