Krishna Waters flows at the HNSS project in Paramasamudram near Kuppam in the Chittoor district.
Chief Minister Andhra Pradesh N. Chandrababu Naida announced on Saturday that the arrival of Krishna Waters in the Kuppam region has long fulfilled the dream of Rayalaseem susceptible to drought.
“It is also a defining moment in my 47 years of the political journey,” Mr. Naida said when addressing a massive public meeting in the village of Paramasamudram after giving “Harathi” the waters of Krishn and lifted the gates of the Hnss Kuppam branches.
Mr. Naidu said, “Today is the most sacred day in my life. How to Kuppam’s beloved son, I feel blessed and my heart feels inexplicably happily when I bring the waters of the Krishny to your (folk) Prague.”
After emphasizing the strenuous efforts to bring Krishna’s water to Kuppam, after raising 750 meters after the section 738 km, the main minister said that the devoted efforts of the NDA government would change the arid landscape of Kuppam.
“The drought was so serious once that the water had to be brought to the trains to save livestock.
The main minister repeatedly caused sharp contrasts with previous governments in the state, especially the term of the Congress Party YSR (YSRCP).
The accusation of the former main Minister Ys Jagan Mohan Reddy that he resorted to the tricks of temporary release of water into Kuppam, without offering a permanent solution, Mr. Naida said “the gates were opened and the water was brought to the tankers from the outside.
Farmers in Kuppam knew about it and even organized a protest on the bed of the canal, Mr. Naida remembered.
The Chief Minister accused the YSRCP government for causing damage to the Polavaram irrigation project. “For this reason, the government must spend an additional 1,000 GBP on its repair,” he said.
Similarly, the YSRCP regime was responsible for damaging various irrigation projects and disproportionate delays in performing waiting work. If TDP came to power in 2019, the Polavaram project would be a reality in 2020 or 2021, he said.
“Despite this failure, the NDA government has now committed itself to completing the Polavara project by 2027,” Mr. Naida said.
Mr. Naida, who was proud of the previous TDP conditions, said for irrigation projects in the Rayalaseem region between 2014 and 2019 was spent on irrigation projects in the Rayalaseem area in the five -year term.
Mr. Naida also recalled that it was the founder of TDP and the former main Minster NT Rama Rao, who initially dreamed of bringing water Krishna to the area of drought and the current government of NDA did it by reality.
The main minister said that up to 10 reservoirs across the Rayalaseem districts have already been filled with the HNSS project and made sure that by 2026 Krishna Waters will reach until 2026.
Referring to long-term action plans, the main minister said that the speaker connection via Polavaram-Banakacherla will be accelerated to combine Vamsadhar and Penna, which would completely turn the drought in Rayalaseem.
