Tirupati MP Maddila Gurumoorty of YSRCP wrote a letter to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), which was looking for steps against the ruling side of the MLA, which, together with its followers, allegedly attacked four forest officials in Srisailam.
He also sent the representation of the National Commission for Planned Kasty (SC) and the National Commission for Planned Tribes (ST), who were looking for urgent intervention.
Here it can be mentioned that the MLA allegedly attacked and abused the officer of Ramulu Naik, defeated the officer Guravayya, driver Karimulla and employee Mohan Kumar 19 August 2025.
In his letter, the deputy claimed that all four officials belong to the ST, SC communities and minorities. The MLA reportedly plunged caste, physically attacked officers and forced them to their department, which he ordered and drove until late night. The officials were then illegally transported to the guest house, unjustly imprisoned and attacked again before release at 4 o’clock in the morning
Mr. Grurmoorty pointed out that the incident was gross violation of Articles 14, 15, 17, 19 and 21 Constitution and fell under the provisions of the SC/ ST (Prevention of Atrocity) law of 1989.
He called on the NHRC, SC Commission, and the State to take decisive steps to protect the victims and ensure that they are responsible for the judiciary without further delay.
