Why does Mumbai get so much rain?
According to the Indian meteorological department (IMD), rainfall activity is associated with depression, which moved on Tuesday morning through South Odisha and Chhattisgarh and is expected to weaken to a low -pressure area within 12 hours.
Monsoon systems, including offshore trough running from southern gujarat to northern kerala and upper air through the Northeast Arab Sea, also contribute to heavy rain activity over the maharaštra according to the latest edition of the weather observatory.
