The incident occurred during the opening session of the multi-day conference, which brings together conservative activists, commentators and political figures to discuss leadership, public engagement, faith and political issues.
According to videos circulating online and reports from attendees, a woman approached Kirk’s address and repeatedly shouted accusations directed at the TPUSA leader.
Footage of the event showed protesters shouting that Kirk was “protecting pedophiles”, a claim that was repeated several times before she was removed from the room. No evidence was presented during the incident to support the allegations.
After the interruption, Kirk continued her speech and addressed the situation from the stage. According to reports and video footage from the event, she told attendees, “It’s important to remember that happiness comes and goes, and I pray that you find it,” before urging audience members to “pray for our enemies.”
Her words were met with applause from many present.
Earlier this month, Texas authorities arrested a 26-year-old man accused of making online threats to Kirk and the Women’s Leadership Summit, including allegedly threatening to bomb the venue. The prosecutor’s office charged the suspect with the crime of terroristic threats.
Kirk became CEO of TPUSA following the death of her husband, conservative activist Charlie Kirk, in 2025. Since then, she has continued to appear at major events organized by the group and has become one of its most visible public figures.
Turning Point USA’s Women’s Leadership Summit is scheduled for this weekend in San Antonio and will feature a slate of conservative speakers and public figures. Organizers announced no changes to the program after Friday’s interruption, and the event continued as planned after the protester was removed.
