
Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Captain Shukla, the first Indian astronautt to travel to the International Space Station (ISS) on Monday.
Shukla, who participated in the commercial Axiom-4 in the ISS from June 25 to July 15, met the Prime Minister of Lok Kalyan Marg.
PM Modi welcomed the Shukl, who was wearing the Isro Astronaut jacket, with a warm hug and walked with an astronaut with his arm on his shoulder.
Shukla also donated the Prime Minister Mission Patch Axiom-4. The astronaut born in Lucknow also shared images he took from ISS with Modi.

After meeting with Shukl, PM Modi said India was proud of her performance and shared insight into their interaction.
“We had a great interaction with Shubhanshu Shukl. We discussed a wide range of objects, including his experience in space, progress in science and technology and an ambitious mission of India Gaganyaan. India is proud of his performance,” he wrote on X.
Shubhanshu Shukla was part of the private space mission Axiom-4, which rose from Florida 25th June and anchored at the International Space Station 26 June. He returned to Earth on July 15th.
Shukla returned to India on Sunday.
Together with three other astronauts-Peggy Whitson (USA), Slawosz aidski-Wisniewski (Poland) and Tibor Kapu (Hungary) -Shukla performed more than 60 experiments and 20 off-road sessions during an 18-day mission.
Discussion Lok Sabha about Shubhanshu Shukl
The government proposed a special discussion of Lok Sabha on “the first Indian astronaut on board the International Space Station – the critical role of the space program for the Viksit Bharat until 2047”, which has Shukla’s Shanel Sojourn.

The opposition did not participate in a special discussion in Parliament, but the leader of the Shashi Tharoor congress praised Subhansh Shukl and said that all Indians are proud of their recent mission to help serve as a strong symbol of Indian ambitions in the human space flight.
He also said that the “historical flight” of Shukla inspired a new generation to devote himself to career in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and space studies-essential for maintaining Indian long-term space goals.
“Since the opposition does not participate in a special discussion, tell me how proud all the Indians on the recent mission of commander Shaubhansh Shukl at the International Space Station (ISS). It served as a springboard for its own human program Spaceflight of our nation, Gaganyaana.
“Shukla’s mission has provided ISRA invaluable practical experience and data that cannot be replicated in simulations. His first -hand observation on pre -prepared procedures, cosmic systems and psychological and physiological effects of microgravity are essential for derizations and refining Gaganyaan missions.”

Mayor Lucknow suggests naming the road, park after Shuklu
Mayor Lucknow Sushma Kharakwal said that the local administration moved a proposal to appoint a road leading to his home and park in the city after him.
