Meeting Kerala Cabinet here on Wednesday decided to provide financial assistance 17 Lakh from the Fund for Help by the Chief Minister Titto Thomas, a healthcare professional who remained in a coma at a private hospital in Kozhikode about half after the closure of Nipah Encephalitis in 2023.
Mr. Thomas, a Malaysian nurse from Mangalur in Karnataka, closed the infection while participating in the patient in the outbreak of 2023 at a private hospital in Kozhikode, where he worked. It comes from Mardala near Mangalur in the Dakshin Kannada district in Karnataka.
Salary revision
The Cabinet meeting also approved a monthly increase in salaries proposed for the district government prosecutor and prosecutor, other government lawsuits and other prosecutors and actions assigned to division of government work. According to the decision, the monthly wage for the District Government and the prosecutor will increase from 87,500 GBP to 1,10,000 GBP. Other government prosecutors and other prosecutors will receive an increase in wages from 75,000 to 95,000 GBP per month, while the applicants assigned to government work now receive 25,000 GBP, against the current wage of 20,000 GBP. Revised rates will be effectively retrospectively from 1 January 2022.
The Cabinet meeting also approved the proposal to hand over the VR Krishna Iyer conservation stadium in Thalassery Taluk to Thalassery for 10 years for rent with riders. Commercial facilities will only be allowed at the stadium with government permission, while the soil should be used only for sports purposes. The Coordination Committee with the municipal chairman at the helm and representatives of the sports department and the revenue department as members should be created. The land should be made available free of charge for the official needs of the sports department. In cases where other departments/organizations are approached for sports purposes, the decision to provide the stadium at a suitable rate should be jointly adopted by the Committee on the Administration of the Stadium, proposed a meeting.
