
The nationwide general strike called the main trade unions on Wednesday (July 9) protesting against the “anti-farmers” of the government “against the farmer” probably assumes the dimensions of Bandh in Kerala and affects services across sectors.
Given that the main trade unions, including emotion, Intuc, Aituc, are expected that 24 -hour strike will disrupt the functioning of central and state government authorities, banks, government educational institutions and public transport, including Keral State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC).
The KSRTC and the Council of Electricity in Kerala (KSEB) said that the unauthorized absence of their employees on Wednesday will be considered to die non. Wednesday’s salary will be deducted from the monthly salary for July.
The KSEB also ordered its offices to indicate the energy tool scheme to maintain supplies during emergencies. Error repair teams should be deployed to “all important places” to meet the emergency events immediately, said the circular circle 5 July.
Among other things, the unions demanded that the Center summarized the working codes, the Electricity Change Act and stop the privatization of the public sector institutions.
The Committee of Trade Unions at the State Level level referred to the general public and workers in Kerala to make a nationwide strike with success.
The joint council of the state service organizations and the Union of NGOs said on Tuesday that government employees in the state will participate in strikes. The Council urged employees and the general public to achieve the success of July 9.
Basic services such as hospitals, ambulances, media, milk supply and other emergency services were exempted from the strike.
