28 students of Sri Venkateswara Ayurvedic College fell ill due to food poisoning in Andhra Pradesh
Around 28 students of Sri Venkateswara Ayurvedic College were admitted to TTD Central Hospital after they reported food poisoning with symptoms of diarrhoea, nausea and mild abdominal pain after consuming food at the hostel on Monday (July 27, 2026). According to reports, three students were referred to SVIMS for counseling and were sent home.
According to the final medical report, the condition of the students was stated to be stable.
TTD Joint Managing Director A. Sharath told the media that the management provided immediate medical attention following minor health complaints. On Tuesday (July 28), he rushed to the central hospital, interacted with the students, reviewed the care they were receiving and inquired about their health.
The TTD Chief Medical Officer said the students responded well to treatment and were discharged after doctors confirmed their condition was stable.
