13th Annual Wipro Bengaluru Marathon on 27th September

Bengaluru will host the 13th annual Wipro Bengaluru Marathon on Sunday (27 September). The event is organized by NEB Sports in association with Karnataka Athletics Association, Wipro Limited and Shriram Properties.

The entire marathon will be flagged off by Ranjita Ghosh, Global Head of Marketing, Wipro Limited, from the Sree Kanteerava Stadium. Actor and fitness celebrity Mandira Bedi will finish the half marathon. The event will also include 10K and 5K categories, and people of all ages are welcome to participate.

Seemanth Kumar Singh, Commissioner of Police, NA Harris, Congress MLA and BDA President and Tejasvi Surya, Member of Parliament will flag off the 10K run. Tourism and Energy Minister KJ George will be present at the event.

Both the full and half marathon will take runners through some of Bengaluru’s iconic locations, including Vidhana Soudha and Cubbon Park. Ulsoor Lake will also be on the routes this year.

The full marathon will finish at 3:50, followed by the half marathon at 6:00, the 10K at 7:30 and the 5K at 8:15. The event will also include a special flag for disabled and visually impaired participants, scheduled for 8:20am.

More than 45,000 runners will participate in the marathon, including 25 elite runners from across the country.
