Ukrainian President Volodymyr has criticized the recent summit of US President Donald Trump with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Alaska and said the Russian President had given what he wanted. His notes came in an interview with ABC News, days before Russia launched the biggest wave of air strikes since the beginning of the war.
When he talked to the news seller, the absence of a meeting at Alaska was giving rise to a greenish seller.
“It is a pity that there was no Ukraine, because I think President Trump gave Putin what he wanted,” he said Zelena.
“Putin doesn’t want to meet me, but he wants to meet the President of the United States very much to show everyone a video and pictures of being there.”
Record the drone attack in Ukraine
The Green Comments came just before Russia released more than 800 drones and other ammunitions in Ukraine on Saturday evening. The Ukrainian Air Force described this as a record attack that killed at least eight civilians and injured another 59. The goal was the building of the government cabinet in Kiev.
Requires stricter sanctions
He pushed the US and its European allies to increase economic pressure on Moscow.
“We all understand that we need additional pressure on Putin. We need pressure from the United States,” he told the news outlet.
“Some of the (European partners) continue to buy oil and Russian gas. And that’s not fair … So we have to stop buying any energy from Russia. That’s just one way to stop the murderer. Energy is his weapon.”
To meet with Putin: “May come to Kiev”
Zelenky refused Moscow’s demand to travel to Russia for direct conversations with Putin.
“He can come to Kiev,” he said Zelena. “I can’t go to Moscow when my country is under the missiles, every day under the attacks. I can’t go to this capital of this terrorist. It’s understandable. And he understands.”
In the exclusion of a meeting on Russian soil, Zelský said that bilateral or trilateral dialogue remained possible.
“I’m ready for any meeting – but not in Russia,” ABC News said.
Security guarantees and permanent peace
He reiterated that long -term safety of Ukraine depends primarily on his military power.
“Any security guarantees in Ukraine can only be based on our army,” he said.
He welcomed Trump’s desire to end the conflict, but emphasized the need for “just and permanent peace”.
“It is important to complete and not be aggressively in six months, in one year, in two years,” he said.
Defining victory: “Survive is victory”
Asked by ABC News, what victory looks like for Ukraine, he offered a sharp answer: “Putin’s goal is to occupy Ukraine. As long as it fails, victory is on our side. For us, survival is a victory. Because we survive with our identity, our country, with our independence.” ”
