The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has taken serious exception to “vested interests” for trying to keep the case related to the murder of YS Vivekananda Reddy alive.
Party spokesperson and Proddatur former MLA Rachamallu Sivaprasad Reddy accused the slain MP’s daughter, Suneetha Narreddy, of raising baseless issues and questioning the conduct of the investigating agency, even after the CBI closed the case and the matter was heard in the trial court.
He alleged that Ms. Suneetha was instructed by TDP president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to implicate the YS family directly in the case, despite the confessions given to the CBI, which formed the basis of the investigation.
Mr. Sivaprasad Reddy advised Ms. Suneetha to drop such allegations in future and allow the court to proceed with the proceedings.
