YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) state official spokesperson and former TTD chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy has expressed doubts about the investigation of the Parakamani theft case by both the CID and the ACB.
Speaking to the media in Tirupati on Friday, Mr Karunakar Reddy said, “The CID and ACB investigation into the Parakamani theft case was not conducted as directed by the court. The coalition government officials claimed that all the thieves were nabbed and I was the mastermind behind it.”
“The CID officials called for investigation only those who interrogated the government. They pushed aside the court’s instructions. It seems that the investigation was done to insult us. What happened during the investigation should remain secret, but it was published in the yellow media,” said Karunakar Reddy.
“Why wasn’t the investigation videotaped and why weren’t signatures taken?” he asked.
“Officials have been trying to paint us as thieves for the past three months. Why were those who claimed to have evidence not called for investigation? The investigation was conducted one-sidedly,” he said.
“Ravi Kumar, the main accused, gave property to TTD EO. If anyone registers his property, TTD will take it. Ravi Kumar’s wife and daughters also gave their property. He wrote the deed of donation with devotion to God,” claimed Mr. Karunakar Reddy, vowing to quit politics if the link with Ravi Kumar is proved.
