Leader YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) and former Minister of Wallow Srinivas
Congress leader YSR (YSRCP) and former Minister of Wallow Srinivas accused the coalition government led by the main Minister N. Chandrababa Naid of trying to get temple land worth more than 400 crore in MachiTipam. He claimed that 40 hectares belonging to the Sri Venkateswara Swama Temple in Godgugupeta are diverted under the guise of development exhibition areas and a private golf club.
Mr. Srinivas at a press conference in the YSRCC Central Office claimed on Monday that Naidu became a “land grab” and focused on the temple landing in favor of his collaborators with the support of MP Kesineni Shivnath (Chinni).
He remembered that the temple, previously neglected, was developed during the possession of Yagan Mohan Reddy when the 1.80 Crore was sanctioned for its improvement. On the other hand, he said that the current government plans to transfer 35 acres for the exhibition complex and 5 other hectares to Bharat Golfs PVT. Ltd. For the golf club, despite the country rented farmers until May 2026.
Mr. Srinivas also claimed that the district collector recommended transfer to the Foundation’s department and that the settlement with sand and gravel was reportedly carried out overnight.
He criticized the silence of BJP, VHP and actor-politician Pawan Kalyan, who often presents himself as protectors of Sanatana Dharma. He pointed out that even the daily Andhra Jyothi friendly to TDP was a message under the title “Ayyosami”.
The leader YSRCP said the party would initiate a legal battle for the protection of the temple and demand a criminal action against those who are responsible for compensatory works. “Even the thumb of God of God will not be able to swallow. We will fight until these allocations stop,” he said.
