Mukesh Ambani outlines massive AI investment plan
Speaking at the AI Impact Summit in the national capital, Mukesh Ambani announced a significant investment push in AI infrastructure.
The billionaire said his telecom arm, Reliance Jio, plans to invest up to 10 trillion rupees ($110 billion) over the next seven years to boost India’s AI ecosystem.
“India cannot afford to rent intelligence. Therefore, we will reduce the cost of intelligence as dramatically as we have reduced the cost of data,” Ambani said at the event.
“We will prove that AI will not take jobs. Rather, it will create new highly skilled opportunities,” Ambani added.
“This is not a speculative investment in pursuit of appreciation,” he said Thursday of the latest announcement. “It is patient, disciplined nation-building capital.
