Popular YouTuber Jack Doherty, 22, was arrested in Miami on charges of drug possession and resisting arrest.
Doherty, who has 15 million followers on YouTube, 10 million on TikTok and 3 million on Instagram, often posts videos pulling pranks and stunts.
He came into the limelight last October after crashing his $200,000 McLaren on live TV.
According to NBC News, Doherty was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and resisting an officer without violence.
Before his arrest, Doherty was live-streaming and sharing content from a yacht in Miami, TMZ reported.
News SS reported that the YouTuber’s bail was set at $3,500 as he navigates the legal ramifications of these serious charges.
The Youtuber often flaunts his wealth on social media platforms.
In June 2024, Davie Police responded to a disturbance call at Doherty’s Southwest Ranches home.
Body camera footage captured officers arriving outside the house and meeting Doherty’s security chief inside the gate.
Doherty’s most popular video titled “I flipped them all!” it has over 26 million views.
In an interview with Disrupt Magazine six years ago, Doherty said everyone thought he was going to be a professional athlete because he was good at every single sport there was. Instead, he ended up posting the videos on YouTube.
“As soon as I saw them start doing good, I decided to give it my all and I really wanted to make a difference and inspire other kids to do what they love,” he told the magazine.
He went on to say, “Don’t let people stop you from achieving your goals and being successful. Don’t let age stop you. I started YouTube when I was only thirteen and I didn’t let anyone tell me I couldn’t do it, I didn’t let anyone hold me back. I knew what I had to do to be successful and I did it.”
