Two YouTube channels of content creator Ranveer Allahbadia (also known as BeerbieCps) are invaded by magic of encryption fraud. Allahbadia holds interactive meetings with Indian celebrities, spiritual leaders and politicians, with over 12 million collective users. According to the creator, following an account violation, both of his channels were inaccessible to him. Meanwhile, cybercriminals replaced the associated logo with Elon Musk and Tesla and images and deleted all videos posted on the channel. The scammers soon began to use Allahabadia’s accounts to facilitate crypto fraud schemes.
Since then, YouTube has resumed access to the Allahabadia channel after the violation. Meanwhile, the hackers managed to showcase the encryption program to attract audiences with 200% return. The hackers soon started live streaming on Allahabadia’s YouTube channel, which included photos of Musk and Donald Trump. The QR code is displayed on the screen, and when scanned, it is redirected to a fake Tesla-style website. A report from Crypto.news said the website also offers a gift worth $100 million (about Rs 836 crore).
In a recent report, the FBI said crypto scammers are using more complex methods to exploit uninformed users. In this incident, the hacker also showed a calculator that lets users check how much they would get if they invested a certain amount that seemed to be donating for Trump’s presidential campaign.
“We welcome you to the official event of Elon Musk and Trump and Elon Musk, which was created to popularize cryptocurrencies, and in order to participate in the fact that you need to send cryptocurrencies to any wallet you see on the website (BTC, ETH, DOGE, DOGE, SOL), we will multiply by the amount sent and multiply it by your wallet and return it to your wallet.”
Subscribers noticed suspicious activity on Allahabadia channel and began posting information about it on X (formerly Twitter).
According to a report by Crypto.news, one of the channels in which Allabadia invaded exceeded 149,000 marks at some point – suggesting that multiple people could be cheated by scammers.
This is not the first time such an incident has occurred. Earlier this month, YouTube posted deep fake videos by Apple CEO Tim Cook and facilitated crypto fraud schemes.
