
The 21 -year -old accused was shot at his knee by the police in Kanniyankouppam near Vriddhachalam in the Cuddalore district on Tuesday after he allegedly attacked two constables in an effort to avoid arrest.
The defendant, identified as K. Kandavel of Pazhamalanathar Nagar in Vriddhalam, along with his co -drifters Siva alias Murugan, 20, and Balaji, 21, in the same area, went on Tuesday to attack four people, including the TNSTC bus between 4 and 5:00.
The police said the accused had attacked Karthik, 23 years, who slept on the construction site and attacked stones.
