A 19-year-old man was killed by a stray bullet in Uttara Kannada’s Hadageri village on Sunday.
Subrahmanya Manjunath Marathi died when he was accidentally hit by a bullet aimed at a monkey.
The property owner was using an air gun. However, the bullet entered the young man’s heart and he collapsed on the spot.
Police Inspector MR Siddarameshwar and others visited the spot.
A case was registered at the Honnavar police station.
