While trying to get a photo, a tourist sat in Italy on a chair dotted with Swarovski crystals and crushed the work of work into a work.
According to a video shared by the Palazzo Maffei Museum, a man sat on a delicate chair instead of lowering and pretending to sit in the photo, as accompanied by a woman. He lost his balance and tried to grasp the wall with both hands to avoid falling as the chair fell apart.
The woman tried to help him, but in vain. The duo, which waited for the security staff to leave to click on the photo, immediately set off the room after damage to the chair.
What did the museum say?
The clip was published by a description of the museum’s social media when they urged tourists to remain careful.
The post read: “The nightmare of each museum became a reality, even in the Palazzo Maffei. Waiting for the sending officers, some visitors took” actually “a photograph.
A damaged work of art is called ‘van gogh‘ Chairs with very fine work, covered exclusively by hundreds of Swarovski crystals by Nicola Boll.
The museum further informed that after a few days they were able to restore works of art. “We didn’t know if it could be restored for days. But we did it,” Palazzo Maffei said.
“Thanks to the police, our security department and restorers, whose rare work has made it possible to restore work,” he added.
Social media users react
Criticizing the duo for negligence and ignorance, several social users commented on the incident
One of the social media users wrote: “I hope the perpetrators supported compensation for the damage caused. Even the teaching behavior did not hold in the museum.”
Another one added, “Well, hopefully the culprits were identified and responsible.”
“So much ignorance, that’s unacceptable!” One of the users commented.
Next said, “I’m really sorry, unfortunately it is the development of idiotic and unconscious tourism, tourism of photos on social media … not tourism of art and culture.”
