Chairman and CEO Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (APSPDCL) Sivasankar Lotheti emphasized the need to clean up the misunderstanding of intelligent meters.
Mr. Sivasankar, who formally took up the management of APSPDCL on Monday, focused on a number of topics, including the priorities of the government for the energy sector.
He noted that there are extensive misconceptions among the public, especially farmers with agricultural contexts, and there was a need to disperse misconceptions.
“There are many misinformation of wheels around intelligent meters. The system prevails around the world and is a welcome step to ensure the accuracy of billing and limiting pilfer or waste.
CMD assured that it would prefer efficient implementation of projects initiated by central and state governments, and will meet the goals set by the discom to ensure quality and continuous power supply.
