The 45 -year -old “Guru” of Chhattisgarh, who claims to have spent ten years in Goa teaching yoga and foreigners, was arrested for alleged ownership of nearly 2 kg of cannabis.
The arrested man, Yogi Tarun Kranti Agrawal, alias Son, recently bought a real estate spread over five acres of land in the area near the famous Dongargarh temple. Rajnandgaon Superintendent Police Mohit Garg said that while the crime has been a violation of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances (NDP), the police have also investigated its finances and controlled its demands, such as visiting more than 100 countries to teach yoga.
At the sequence of the events, the investigator said that Agrawal, a native of Dongargarh, left his home two decades ago and recently returned. He bought the above country where the construction began for ashram. However, people complained about the local police that drugs were served in the premises where the place was posted on June 25th.
“We found that he was in possession of 1.993 kg of cannabis. He was arrested according to the Act on Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) and advanced to his judiciary. We suspect that he sold drugs in the premises,” said Mr. Garg. He added that the accused was booked according to Section 20b (which prohibits the use of production, production, production, possession or hemp) of the NDPS Act.
During the interrogation, the accused reportedly told the police that he had spent the last decade in Goa.
Two decades ago he left his home and said he had spent more than ten years in Goa, where he taught “Kranti Yoga” to many people, including several foreigners. During the interrogation, he told the investigators that he was also traveling to different countries to teach yoga and that he was running many NGOs (NGOs).
The police confiscated Agrawal’s passport and verifies these claims. The police official said that the accused was under the influence of cannabis when he was arrested.
