
About 50 specialized children participated on Saturday’s International Yoga Day held at the Mysuru Palace at a celebration that underlines accessibility and inclusion.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Ayush and the state government. The Equibeing Foundation Foundation has cooperated to support the participation of specially disabled children through training and facilitating.
The organizers reported that the children involved were involved in the year -round inclusive education program of the Yoga Equibeing Foundation, focusing on sensory techniques such as verbal guidance, breath and spatial orientation. Based on the session, the organizers showed meaningfully adapted to traditional practices such as yoga, meaningfully serve people of all abilities.
V. Ananthalakshmi, Equibeing Foundation CEO, said yoga, when treated with care, becomes a medium of authorization. Our work with these children has shown that accessibility creates confidence and connection.
The Minister of Social Care HC Mahadevappa, who interact with children, said that this initiative reflects collective responsibility for ensuring that health and wellness are accessible to everyone, and integration should not be an exception, must be the norm.
