The Sumit Kumar District Collector and the Superintendent Police Manicant Chandol on Monday inaugurated the Yogandho -2025 program, which took place in Puligund, a famous tourist location near Penumur, 25 km from Chittoor. The event witnessed the participation of about 3,000 participants, including youth, women and officials.
The collector dealt with the assembly and emphasized the importance of yoga part of everyday life. He said that every person, regardless of age and sex, should instill the habit of practicing yoga for at least 30 minutes a day, which could significantly reduce stress and prevent health problems.
He said that as part of the ongoing Yoga festival, scheduled from May 21 to 21, at various levels from the village to the district headquarters, there will be special emphasis on yoga support at tourist places. “The main yoga camp was performed in the Kanipakam Temple. The majority of the public’s participation is a testimony to growing awareness of the importance of yoga,” Kumar said.
SP manicant Chandol has appealed to the public to understand the message anchored in the practice of yoga and incorporate it along with other healthy eating habits.
Officials reported collectors that so far 2.5 lakh people have registered for Yogandhra’s event through Andhra Pradesh. At the same time, the chittoor has more than 5,000 trained yoga instructors who have been included in the performance of yoga camps throughout the district.
