The Yenagi Balappa Memorial Theater Festival was successfully celebrated in Belagavi for three days from November 7.
Members of the cultural organization Ranga Aradhana in Saundatti and Ranga Sampada performed three plays.
They felicitated senior theater personalities and paid their respects to writer SL Bhyrappa, theater artists Yashwant Sardeshpande, Raju Talikoti, D. Hanumakka and Annapurna Ashoka Malagali.
Members of Ranga Sampada performed Nakshatra Yatrikara at Kannada Bhavan. Written by Sandhya S. and directed by Savita Bhyrappa.
Zakir Nadaf’s plays Nelamugil and Halu Battaladolagina Palu were presented by Ranga Aradhana.
Senior writers and theater personalities were felicitated. The festival was organized in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Culture, Department of Kannada and Culture, Bengaluru, Ranga Shristi and Kannada Bhavan, Belagavi, the release said.
