Yellow alert for two districts of Kerala on September 10
The hot and humid conditions prevailing across the state are likely to ease in some parts of the state from Thursday, with a low pressure system expected to form over the Bay of Bengal. According to a weather bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a low pressure area is likely to form over North Bay of Bengal and its vicinity on Thursday.
The weather system is expected to trigger isolated showers in some parts of the state, especially central and south Kerala, over the next few days. A yellow alert was issued for Ernakulam and Alappuzha on Thursday, warning of isolated heavy rains. Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Kottayam and Ernakulam were put on yellow alert on Saturday, indicating increased rain activity till this weekend.
