Even before the dust raised by the exclusion of the self -proclaimed “Hindu tiger” Basanagoud, Yatnal of Karnataka of Disidence Patil Patil of Karnataka seems to be slowly turning into the fight for the “real Lingayat brand”.
On Tuesday, Ramesh Jarkiholi, a former Minister and BJP MLA, announced that Mr. Yatnal supporters would seek support for religious leaders, especially Lingayat Sects to call on the BJP to withdraw his exclusion from the party. Mr. Jarkiholi is part of the camp, together with Mr. Yatnal, against the President of the State BJP Vijayendra.
“I am convinced that Mr. Yatnal will be canceled and will be re -accepted. He will not create a new party,” Jarkiholi told reporters in Belagavi. Mr. Yatnal had previously indicated that he could play with the idea of creating a new party.
“The team of leaders, including Mr. Yatnal, will visit Mutts Lingayat, while another team, including me, Arvind Limbavali and Kumar Bangappa, visit SC/W and the mutual mutty,” he said. The decision in this respect was taken at a Bengalur meeting, he added. The leaders recommended Mr. Yatnal not to criticize any BJP leader, Mr. Jarkiholi said.
Convention plans
It should be remembered that in March, former Minister Renukacchary announced that he would organize the Congress of all entities to Veerashaiva – Landayat to support Mr. Vijayendra in Davanagere. He even announced that the aim of the Convention would be to make Mr. Vijayendra another Chief Minister of Karnataka. He said Mr. Yatnal made a futile effort to project as a leader of Veerashaiv Lingayat. He mentioned Mr. Yatnal for dressing the roles of “Hindu Huli”, “Veerashaiva Lingayat Leader” or “Panchamasali leader” based on circumstances.
To face this, a few days later, Yatnal’s faction was released with the announcement of the Hindu Convention in Davanagere itself. Although both conventions did not take place, after expulsion, Yatnal Camp is making an effort to reflect him as “injustice Lingayat leader”, especially in the Panchamasali Lingayat community.
Lingayat Panchasali Seer Basava Jaya Mrutyunjaya Swami has already called members of the community to support Mr. Yatnal. With the leaders of Panchamasali, such as Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar, it did not drop well.
