The excluded BJP MLA Basanagoud Patil Yatnal explained that he did not offend the prophet Mohammad during his recent speech in Hubball.
“I wanted to comment on Mohammad Ali Jinnah, but I just told Mohammad. It was misunderstood to be a reference to the prophet,” Mla said on Monday in Vijayapora.
He said he wanted to attract parallels to the statement and behavior of Uddhav Thackeryy and Mohammad Ali Jinnah. “That’s why I said that Mohammad (Ali Jinnah) was born in the Thackery family house. But then the statement was incorrectly interpreted,” said Mr. Yatnal.
But he said that if the police registered a case against him for insulting the prophet, then (police) must file cases against all those who are found by the insulting Hindu gods and the goddess.
He also said that all protests against him for the alleged insult to the Prophet are organized by Congress and not the leaders of the Muslim community.
He said that he was not afraid that no threat of death would be issued against him. “It is not easy to take off Yatnal. If this happens, then the whole state will be on fire,” he said.
He said he was suspended from BJP, after the powerful leader of Congress promised a high command of BJP, that he would mind with some leaders.
“He wanted to overthrow the government Siddarahaiaha. But it is not easy to avert Mr. Siddaramaiah. The leader who plans to defect has no support of even 10 congress MLA.
