The son of Chief Minister Siddaramaiaha Yathindry, MLC, came under criticism on Saturday after his claim that the government of Congress led by his father “equal, not if” surpassed “the success of Nalwadi Kršnaja Wadiyar.
In response to his son’s commentary, Minister Siddaramaiah decided on Saturday with reporters in Arsikere in the Hassan district on Saturday, and instead stated that his government had surpassed the previous BJP. “We did more work than BJP,” he said.
Meanwhile, BJP leaders frown on Mr. Yathindry for drawing such a comparison. The opposition leader in the R. Ashok assembly called Mr. Yathindry’s comment “a bad joke”. MEP for Mysur Yadveer Krishhnadatt Chamaraja Wadiyar, a descendant of the Wadiyar family, said there was no need to make any comparison as leaders, whether in a democracy or a monarchy, must serve people.
