On Monday (August 11, 2025), the High Court in Delhi was looking for a response of the separatist leader Yasin Malik to a lawsuit filed by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), who was looking for a death penalty in the case of terrorist financing.
Justices Vivek Chaudhary and Shalinder Kaur have given Malik to Malik for four weeks to give his reply to the NIA petition and publish hearing on November 10.
Malik, who previously tried to argue personally against Nia’s pleas looking for improvements, was supposed to look practically from prison, but was not made. Front Leaferation Chief (JKLF) Jammu and Kashmir is stored in Tihar prison, where in this case the life period serves. On Monday, the bench ordered the prison authorities to create virtually 10 November.
On May 24, 2022, the court sentenced Malik to a life imprisonment after he kept him wine for offenses according to strict illegal activities (prevention) of the Act (UAPA) and IPC. Malik confessed to the accusation, including those under the Uapa, and was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment.
Nia attracted against the sentence and stressed that a terrorist could not be condemned to life period just because he confessed that he confessed and decided not to pass by court.
