MEP for Majadu Yadveer Krishhnadatt Chamaraja Wadiyar ordered officials on Friday to ensure early supply of fertilizers for farmers with tobacco, especially in Hunsur and Periyapatna Taluks, who have a large number of farmers involved in tobacco cultivation.
In a press release, Mr. Yadveer said that the primary goal is to ensure that farmers do not differ any inconvenience in terms of fertilizer availability.
He emphasized the importance of continuing fertilizer offer and ordered officials to take appropriate measures to deliver fertilizers for the comfort of farmers on Sunday.
Mr. Yadveer, who previously raised concerns about growers in parliament and met the relevant ministers to reduce the sanctions of tobacco growers, to ensure early supply of fertilizers for the crop.
