The new World Cup cycle has already begun in the test, just days after South Africa was crowned as champions of the third edition of the tournament. The victory of South Africa was perceived as an incredible gravel and perseverance, given that they gave up the hope in the competition throughout the cycle.
Inspired by the sensational 4. Aiden Markram Sto and two courageous knocks from Captain Temba Bavuma in South Africa defeated the powerful Australians who were popular to win the title.
The victory was considered refreshing from a neutral perspective because the fans saw the result as a victory for a test cricket when the South African team joined the sensational run in the red ball format and eventually interrupted its 27 -year waiting for the ICC title.
But there was one thing that laser eyes could not ignore. It was the number of test matches that South Africa played in its WTC cycle.
South Africa has achieved a Summit of the WTC 2025 by playing only 12 test matches. This was the lowest of all teams in the tournament. For comparison, England played 22, Australia and India 19 and New Zealand and Pakistan 14.
Many fans did not fit well that South Africa did not play Australia and England on their way to the finals and played only 2 matches at home against India. The argument was that India, Australia and England play 5 matches against each other, which means they compete more often.
In this note there is a complete division of matches that teams will play in the WTC cycle. It should be noted that these accessories have been agreed in advance with the FTP – ICC Future Tours program.
