MSC Turkiye, the largest container ship in the world that called on the international port of Vishinjam on Wednesday.
The newlywed international port of Vishinjam The International Port reached a new milestone with MSC Turkiye-the most largest container boat in the world-in the center of the port. MSC Turkiye, operated by the Mediterranean shipping company (MSC), is a modern engineering miracle, while the vessel measures a length of 399.9 meters, a width of 61.3 meters and a depth of 33.5 meters. The ship can load about 24,346 equivalent units of twenty feet (Teus), which makes it one of the largest container ships ever built in the world.
The ship, which was anchored in the port at 17:10, will leave Ghana on Thursday evening after leaving around 2,000 Teus containers. It is a 257th ship that has called in the port since commercial operations, including a trial operating period, which began on July 12, 2024. Although the port was not officially entered, the port dealt with a record volume of more than 5.2 Lakh Teus containers during the trial period and subsequent four months of commercial operations.
The international port of Vishinjam, operated by Adani Ports and Sezs LTD (APSEZ), is the first Indian terminal Mega Transhipment Content. The first -class port, prepared for the future, is the only transmission center in the Indian subcontinent closest to the international transport routes and centrally located on the Indian coast. It is only 10 naval miles (19 km) from the busy east-west shipping channel that connects Europe, the Persian Gulf, Southeast Asia and the Far East.
MSC Claude Girardet, an ultra -large container container (ULCV) MSC, anchored last September in the Vishinjam International Port, was the previous largest container ship that visited India.
