Officials and volunteers on Wednesday pledged to raise awareness of autism at an event organized by a district administration of collecting collection on the occasion of the day of World Warning of Autism.
Collector Cuddalore Sibi ADHITHYA SENTHIL KUMAR said that timely intervention is necessary because it would help in the skills and overall development of autistic children.
Parents should take children to screen if they have found to have communication problems. Premature screening helped achieve better results, he said.
