This is possibly the lowest ever ticket price for a World Cup match between India and Pakistan.

On Thursday, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the opening of ticket sales for “Phase 1” of the upcoming T20 World Cup (ticket sales opened at 18:45 on Thursday), with entry-level ticket prices as low as Rs 100 at select venues in India and LKR 1,000 in Sri Lanka, the lowest ever at an ICC event. In a press release, the ICC said it had “reduced one of the primary entry barriers for fans by making Phase I tickets highly affordable. With prices starting from Rs 100 in India and LKR 1000 in Sri Lanka and over two million tickets for sale, the ICC aims to democratize the experience of ICC events at stadiums. The 10th edition of the tournament will be played across eight venues from February 7 to March 8 in India and Sri Lanka.
