
As a step towards the formulation of the unified development and Building Code, Hyderabolitan Metropolitan Development Authoir was conducted on Tuesday in cooperation with Ernst & Young consulting.
The code for designing the code was laid by EY, which conducted a comprehensive review comparing policy conducted in Telangana with the best national and international practices, which is informed of HMDA.
The workshop was attended by various government and non -governmental representatives and was chaired by Commissioner Hmda Sarfaraz Ahmed.
Mr. Ahmed emphasized the importance of constructive participation in the formulation of a united code that would prefer “sustainability and ease of business” for the first time in the country. He said inputs from various departments, city planners, industrial partners and development forums will help simplify the new code and make it transparent and flexible.
Commissioner GHMC RV Karnan emphasized improved coordination to simplify the regulations, while the Commissioner, Hyderabad Disaster Rester & Asset Protection Agency, AV Ranganath, pointed out the need for special provisions for structures except for discharge and water departments.
Private parties, such as Credai, Nedco, ITPI, Institute of Architects, Cii and others, were looking for regulations for friendly developers and eliminated compulsory allocation of space for commercial and public services.
Metropolitan Water Supply & Severage Board, Commissioner and Director, Municipal Administration, Power Dismom, Musi Riverfront Development Corporation, Panchayat Raj & Rural Development and City and Country Planning Directorates were represented at the workshop.
