The day after Hyundai Motor announced wage settlement with the recognized Union, about 60 members of the Hyundai Motor India Employer Union (HMIEU) organized a protest in the bus parking tape inside the SriPerumbudur plant and claimed that they were not consulted during wage negotiations.
The protest was introduced on Thursday morning. Some workers joined the protest after a night shift. The police soon arrived and dispersed the crowd, after which the protesters left the space, said the sources. Production in the race remained intact.
In the post on Facebook Hmieu, he claimed that out of 15,000 staff at the Hyundai factory, 12,000 workers received an average of 20,000 GBP and part of them were given only a small wage.
On Wednesday, Hyundai Motor India Limited and United Union of Hyundai, a recognized connection of the company, said they signed a mutually beneficial wage agreement in the 2024-2027 period. The package includes a salary increase of 31,000 GBP per month.
